HPOne Expands into Orlando Market

National leader in health insurance to create 125 jobs immediately, more than 260 over next 12 months

Lake Mary, Fla. (June 27, 2018) – As Florida’s senior population continues to grow, the national leader in Medicare sales and marketing, Connecticut-based HPOne, is significantly increasing its presence in the state, opening its third location in Florida.

This summer, the company will be opening a new call center in Lake Mary. Over the next three months, the company plans to hire 125 positions as it ramps up the new center.

By October 2019, current plans call for more than 260 total hires with an average salary of $60,000 per year.

“Florida has proven to be a great location to operate facilities like this with its educated workforce and a great business environment,” says Bill Stapleton, founder and CEO of HPOne. “We look forward to being part of the Central Florida community, providing jobs and economic impact to the region.”

Currently, HPOne operates two centers in Florida, one in Tampa and one in St. Petersburg. Those locations employ more than 350 people combined.

In Lake Mary, over half of the positions will be licensed health insurance agents, earning a base salary of $40,000. Top producers can regularly earn up to $100,000. In total, 17 different roles in various fields are needed. The specific location in Lake Mary is currently under negotiation for up to 30,000 square feet.

“We are building a new location from scratch, meaning we will need all of the types of positions that come with any office,” Stapleton says. “Although we have just started the hiring process, we have been extremely pleased with the quality of candidates available in the Orlando market.”

For community leaders in Central Florida, the expansion of HPOne showcases the strength of the market, particularly Lake Mary. The company expanded without government incentives.

“Time and again, national companies choose Lake Mary as a place to grow and expand because of the quality of life we offer here, from schools to entertainment and the cost of living,” says Jason Brodeur, president and CEO of the Seminole County Regional Chamber. “Like with other national brands in this region, we’re honored to welcome HPOne as our new neighbor.”

HPOne was founded in 2006. Focused on the Medicare insurance market, the company works with many of the industry’s largest carriers including Aetna, Humana, and many Blue Cross Blue Shield companies across the country.

HPOne is growing rapidly and has been named to the Deloitte Fast500 list as one of the fastest growing technology/media companies for five consecutive years.
